Storyline
Tony Stark is a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan. While being held captive, Stark is forced to build a weapon of mass destruction. However, he instead uses his engineering skills to create a powerful suit of armor that he uses to escape and defeat his captors.
Upon returning to the United States, Stark publicly reveals his identity as Iron Man and uses his suit of armor to fight crime and protect the innocent. He also becomes a founding member of the Avengers, a team of superheroes who unite to defend the world from threats too big for any one hero to handle.
